My Background

Dale Jones is a representational oil and pastel painter in Richmond, Virginia. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from Eastern Mennonite University in 1973, his Art Education degree while attending James Madison University, and Master of Art Education degree from Virginia Commonwealth University in 1982.


Dale taught art in public and private schools throughout the state of Virginia for 34 years. He also spent 3 years (1987–1990) as an art instructor for middle and high school boarding students at Woodstock School, an international private school in Mussoorie, India.


Dale’s work has been accepted into group and solo art exhibitions. Most recently, his art was featured in a solo show at The Dadian Gallery, Wesley Theological Seminary in Washington, DC. Presently, Dale is an art instructor at the Visual Arts Center in Richmond, Virginia, and an art education supervisor for practicing teachers in the art education department at Virginia Commonwealth University.
